Connecting the Gioanola water meter pulse output
Cold and hot water meters from the Italian manufacturer Gioanola use their own system of pulse outputs. The read head with a reed contact always senses a dial that is markedly marked and different from the others. Therefore, if, as in the following figure, a target measuring one thousandth of m3 (0.001 m3) is measured, the weight of one pulse is one hundredth of m3 (0.01 m3).

Zenner EDC communication module
Setup of the Zenner EDC module is done over the M-Bus using the Global Meter Manager configuration tool, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. The manual is available as a pdf file in the “downloads” section on the right side of the screen.

Depending on the version, the flowmeter can be equipped with a pulse output to monitor the flow rate. The pulse output (only versions with A and D at the end) is output to terminals 24 (+) and 25 (-) marked f-OUT or PULSE/FREQUENCY OUTPUT.
